Spectral modelling of blazars with special attention to binary black hole systems (ppt)
As there is a detection of a period of 23 days verified for the high peak BL-Lac object Markarian501, some theoretical models ascribe this behaviour to the presence of a SMBBH (supermassive binary black hole system). Task of my diploma thesis was, to fit the SED of Markarian 501 with a SSC model and to modify this model in order to reproduce the 23 day periode by assuming a SMBBH in the center of the observed AGN.
