PMT-Characterization for FlashCam(pdf)

FlashCam is one camera system proposed for the MST type telescopes of CTA. The photon detector plane of the camera comprises many hundreds of PMTs to collect the Cherenkov-light of gamma-ray induced air showers. The PMTs have to be characterised for operation within the requirements before they are put into FlashCam. In this presentation, the most important parameters to characterise a PMT will be introduced. An overview of our test setup will be given and some exemplary results will be presented.
